Shailene Woodley is an acclaimed American activist and actor. Her fame was boosted by her role as Alexandra King the teen addicted girl in The Descendants. Her praiseworthy performance as the character Alexandra "Alex" King in The Descendants led to her performing several other challenging parts easily. Shailene managed to make her mark in the world of Hollywood at a young age in her career, which in and of itself is quite an accomplishment. Shailene began her film career performing in TV shows and commercials. Later, she played prominent parts in Hollywood flicks. She has received many acting awards for her talent including The MTV Movie Awards and People's Choice Awards. She has also been nominated to win some other notable awards, including the BAFTA Awards. Along with her mother she co-founded All it Takes as a nonprofit organization in 2010. In recognition of her role in co-founding All it Takes, she was awarded the Entertainment Industry Environmental Leadership Award during the 20th Anniversary Global Green Environmental Awards in the year 2016.
