Sharon Yvonne Stone was born on March 10 the year 1958 in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to accountant Dorothy Lawson and tool and die manufacturer and former factory worker Joseph William Stone II. Michael, Kelly and Patrick are her three siblings. Stone was considered academically gifted as a child and began second grade at five. Saegertown Senior High School in Saegertown Pennsylvania is where she graduated in the year 1975. In 1975, the Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone take home Miss Crawford County. Stone was moved into New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt, to pursue a career as models. In just a few months, Stone signed up for the Ford Modeling Agency. Stone soon moved to Europe and spent a full year in Milan and Paris. Stone was however dissatisfied in Europe in the modeling business and decided to move into acting. She appeared at 20 in Woody Allen's "Stardust Memories," a film that received mixed receptions.
